Director of Organization Development

Position Summary
75% - Learning - develops and implements a firm-wide learning program with the assistance of the managing partner, human resources, firm administration and technical departments. This person must be a self-starter with patience and enthusiasm. Experience in development of training objectives, personal assessments, and the ability to develop and implement a training curriculum are essential.
25% - Marketing - responsible to coordinate and monitor the marketing efforts of the firm.
Major Duties and Responsibilities (Learning)
- Understands clients’ needs and is proactive in proposing solutions
- Documents and develops required firm learning standards, policies and procedures
- Documents and develops firm training objectives
- Assesses and documents training requirements by position
- Schedules, conducts and/or coordinates classroom and individual training sessions (Some typical classes are technology skills, tax, auditing, communications, safety, sexual harassment, diversity, ethics, human relations, quality initiatives, QuickBooks and customer service)
- Provides base training in Outlook, Policies, Time Entry, Compliance, etc. for new hires in one-on-one setting in coordination with New Employee Orientation conducted by Director of Human Resources
- Coordinates and schedules outside trainers
- Maintains training materials
- Maintains CPE and training records
- Coordinate mentoring program for new staff and professional staff
- Facilitate Learning Committee
- Provides expertise in Microsoft Outlook as "go to" person for the firm
- Train and coordinate video conferencing
- Performs other duties as assigned
Major Duties and Responsibilities (Learning)
- Responsible for coordination and facilitation of the Marketing Committee
- Maintain content of web site
- Plans and oversees the firm’s advertising and promotion activities including print, electronic, and direct mail outlets
- Analyzes firm-wide marketing efforts relative to the marketing plan and reports to the Marketing Team
- Responsible for firm merchandizing and promotional items
- Responsible for ad creation and placement
- Other duties may be assigned

- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

- Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Must be able to work in an environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple tasks and demands
- Skilled in Microsoft Office software
- Classroom teaching preferred
- Able to develop curriculum
Working Conditions
Normal office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Occasional overtime may be required. There may be occasional travel overnight to out-of-town continuing education and for delivery of training programs to other firm offices.
