Michelle joined Adams, Brown, Beran & Ball, Chartered (ABBB) in 2008, soon after earning her Master of Accounting from Kansas State University. She currently serves as a Partner in ABBB’s Colby office. Michelle specializes in helping clients achieve their business goals by providing tax, accounting, and consulting work for a number of small businesses in a variety of industries. She assists in managing the financial aspects of their business through budgeting, cash flow analysis, break-even analysis, strategic coaching, and other management functions.
Outside of her client responsibilities, Michelle has managed the Colby office operations since 2013. She also leads the firm’s CFO/Virtual Back Office service. In her community, Michelle has been instrumental in creating annual Young Professional area networking events.
Committed to helping others through her work, Michelle is described by her peers and co-workers as a great leader who is always willing to help. She was inspired to go into accounting because it gave her the ability to work with many different industries in varying capacities. Michelle attributes her success to a strong work ethic and a drive to always be moving forward.
Michelle grew up in Linn, Kansas, and currently resides in Colby with her husband, Josh, and their children, Leah and Parker. She enjoys living in northwest Kansas as there are many progressive communities that still have a “small town feel.” Many might not know that from ages 10 to 20, Michelle played fast-pitch softball, both pitching and playing first base. She still enjoys playing co-ed slo-pitch, as well as spending time with her family, reading, and being outdoors.
