Vaughn has been with Adams, Brown, Beran & Ball (ABBB) since 2003. He focuses much of his work on tax preparation and planning for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and nonprofit organizations. During his tenure at the firm, Vaughn led the firm’s IT team for several years as Chief Information Officer.
Vaughn’s public accounting experience spans more than 40 years, beginning his career in 1974 at Kennedy & Coe, LLC. Most recently, prior to joining ABBB, he served as a shareholder for over 18 years at Cross, Goerl & Associates in Great Bend. Over the years, Vaughn has proven to be truly instrumental in his clients’ success, whether it’s helping them take advantage of capital gains and tax brackets by timing the sale of their property and/or product or avoiding double taxation by filing as a different entity type.
Beyond his expertise in the tax and audit sectors of the public accounting arena, Vaughn is known by his colleagues and throughout the local community as a very technology savvy individual. As such, he has been asked to author numerous technology-related articles for the Public Accountants Association of Kansas’ (PAAK’s) newsletter. Vaughn has also presented at PAAK’s Accountants Seminar on The Paperless Office and at its Accountants Tax Conference on Ethics Standards of the Professional Accountant.
