Sam Seward, CPA, began his career in public accounting in 1984 after spending seven years at the IRS as both a Special Agent (Criminal Investigator) and then a Revenue Agent. Since 1984, Sam has worked at several notable Wichita CPA firms including Fox and Co., Meredith and Lytle, and M&L CPA’s Chartered. He joined the Adams, Brown, Beran & Ball team in 2020 after M&L merged with ABBB.
He provides tax consulting and compliance, trust and estate planning and compliance, retirement plan consulting, and sales tax services to clients in industries such as banking, medical, distribution, oil & gas, and agriculture.
Sam’s parents inspired and encouraged him to pursue a career in accounting. His father was a rancher and kept his own books, and his mother was a Postmaster that ran her own office. They thought he’d make a great accountant, and the rest is history.
Originally from Leon, Kansas, Sam attended Butler Community College in El Dorado, Kansas, and then transferred to Wichita State University. He met his wife, Sheryl, at WSU. Together they have three grown children, Tracey, Devin, and Ivan, and one granddaughter, Elowyn. Sam enjoys spending time with family and playing tennis in his free time.
