Susan Day
Principal
”I strive to treat clients how I would want to be treated. I value the privilege of building a personal relationship with them—understanding their challenges and needs. When I provide clarification to our clients in areas that affect their business or personal finances, they are able to make better business and financial decisions for the future.“

Susan joined Adams, Brown, Beran & Ball (ABBB) in 1998. Her history with ABBB includes serving in the roles of staff accountant, senior staff, manager, and senior manager; Susan now works as a principal. Her current focus is on providing accounting, audit, and tax strategies to clients in a variety of industries, including retail, service, and agriculture. The scope of her work includes addressing multi-state and international issues. Additionally, Susan serves as the WaKeeney office manager and tax service line leader.

Susan was inspired to pursue a career in accounting after working as a bookkeeper for a local business in high school. She fell in love with the ordered processes involved in the field and the story that the numbers told. She enjoys accounting for its broad career opportunities, the requirement to never stop learning, and the ability to have a meaningful impact. A self-proclaimed “tax nerd,” Susan is a go-to person for tax research within the firm.

Susan resides in WaKeeney, Kansas with her husband, Dennis, and three children. In her opinion, there’s no better place to raise children than in a small town. Outside of work, Susan can be found enjoying personal fitness activities, watching sports, motorcycle and ATV riding, and cheering on her children in their various activities.
